Running With Sore Knees

Interview with Nikki Reed

On
bad taste I could find another interview a nice made Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Cullen, unlike the character he plays, it seems very simpatica.anche this interview was made by MTV during the filming of the movie but are only now decided to translate it for us poor Italian fans.

Nikki, if you did not know: the Twilight fans are very excited for this film.
I had no idea of the situation I was hunting! I'm saying this in a positive sense, but it's crazy how many fans have this book. Or rather, all the books in the series.

You received more positive or negative comments?
I receive many letters from fans, and I like to think that they are all full of love. [Laughs.]

I know that many fans have visited the set. Have you met someone? They keep us separated from
fans because we have to concentrate at work. But once I found myself alone in a hallway with a lot of fans. There was no way of seeing [when the scene was finished], nobody was there with me to tell me when the filming ended, so did not want to go out there risking to ruin the scene. I sat there for almost an hour in the company of many fans. What

happened?
We had great fun. I have many questions. It took a while 'to break the ice but then we got confidence now.

It's not a problem for you to talk to fans?
No, absolutely not. Just that sometimes I get a little 'fear, because my character is described as the most beautiful woman in the world. So sometimes I'm nervous, because I guess the first question would be: "You think you're the most beautiful woman in the world?". I'm always nervous in front of a fan of Twilight. E ' people who are serious about.

From your film debut in Thirteen, you've worked several times with Catherine Hardwicke.
Yes

works that she calls you and says: Ok, now working on Twilight?
so maybe it works! I would like in a movie for 40 million dollars, you could just call and ask an actor, "Hey, want to be in my movie?". Unfortunately, a film is not only done by the director. There are producers, so many people making these decisions, does not work like that.

So how did you and she in turn three films together in five years?
I'm not saying that's a coincidence, because we work well together and we always felt comfortable with. The point is that usually, people who assign her to a movie have already seen his previous films. If those movies I'm there, it's easy to think of me. It also works in reverse: when I was shooting a film, and the director left the project. Then they phoned me and asked me: "How about Catherine Hardwicke?".

Now do a trilogy. How has your relationship over the years?
Well, I guess. Thirteen was a lot of movies other than that, and then she turned Lords of Dogtown, his second film, where there was a bit 'more action, and it was very intense. There were special effects and CGI and so on. And Twilight is the same multiplied by ten. We are doing all the usual short, three days ago I flew hanging on a cable!

Tell us a bit 'of your favorite special effects.
Be ', we must not only have superhuman strength, but we must also be graceful. Then we trained intensively for three weeks before we started shooting. There is a long scene of baseball, and I wonder why the picture looked better when I tap with my left hand.

I had never done before?
No, I had to learn from scratch. I think it was easier because I had never played baseball in my life. And Ashley Greene, who plays Alice, had to learn how to make the pitcher.

engineers were there for hours, hoping that eventually you are unable to hit the ball?
not the day of filming, because the scene is done in CGI, the ball goes a million miles an hour, and fly to hundreds of meters above the ground. But while we did practice, I had to learn to hit the ball. If I were you I would be very far from me and a bat and a baseball.

Twilight is very different from the traditional vampire stories. How does it feel a bit toothless, garlic and mirrors?
I think it's good that we try to stay away from clichés. I mean, sharp teeth would have been funny. There was a long debate, because in the book are not there, and vampires seem to normal people. A bit 'pale but normal. But it must be so, because this is based on the secret of Cullen family.

Tell us the story of Rosalie.
Rosalie was raped and beaten by her boyfriend about a century ago, and is almost dead. Carlisle found her, and probably could not bear to see her bleeding and dying on the road, then turned it into vmapiro, because he wanted Edward has a soul mate. Even human Rosalie did not want to be so beautiful. He did not want to be noticed so much, he wanted to be a normal girl, get married and start a family.

It is not the happiest vampire in the world.
Yes I think a lot of anger that door is not a form of evil, is more like envy. She just wants to be normal, so when Bella comes in the life of Edward, Rosalie does not hate it, but envy, wants to be like her.

Many of the Cullens are not satisfied with how things are made.
Alice is the only really happy, because he does not remember how it feels to be human. All the others can not but think: "We had a choice, Carlisle has chosen for us." And so the players are focused on this aspect, a deep resentment.

We all know the story of Rosalie emerges and is developed in the sequel. What is the scene that you're more eager to shoot?
Chapter seven in the third book, I think.

Wow, how do you know!
It 's the scene where I talk to Bella and finally explain the reasons for my behavior. I say because I really want you to become one of us, because you do not understand in what situation you are hunting. I can not wait to shoot that scene, because I want to make a little Rosalie 'more human, make her a more understandable character.

Obviously the center of all history is the love between Edward and Bella.
Yes, it is absolutely the "Romeo and Juliet" of vampires.

There is a lot of pressure on Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. As if you're doing?
Be 'First of all, we should not worry too much external pressure. If we think about all the things they say the fans, to each comment, went crazy.

What topics were included in the love story?
It 's a totally unrealistic situation but we can empathize with them. Because that's what people want in life: to be loved unconditionally. In the end this is our purpose and our sole reason for existence: to love somebody else. What are Bella and Edward is just that, and despite all their faults their love is perfect. Despite all the obstacles - he is vampire and she's human - their bond is forever. There are a lot of expectations, a lot of pressure on Rob and Kristen, but I think if you're doing great.

Interview with Ashley Greene (aka Alice)

report here an interview with Ashley Greene, the actress who plays Alice.in Actually this interview was conducted during the shooting of film.per me is very nice and she is also a fan of Meyer.

How are things going so far?
Not bad. We are shooting outdoors, and we are ready for the next scene. It 's funny, the views are beautiful. We are in Oregon but we back and forth between here and Washington state, where some September

When did you realize the scope of the "Twilight" phenomenon?
I knew it was a series of books, but then I looked IMDb.com up and saw that it was spoken a lot. I read books when I learned that I participated in the project. My agent warned me that I should attend a meeting, but there was no script or screenplay. So I bought the book and I read in a day and a half, I am passionate and I read them all three before you even get the part.

I too have done the same thing.
They are beautiful! I understand why they have so many fans, I made them I read to my mother and she too liked them.

Which scene from the book are you most looking forward to seeing on the big screen?
Be ', the film is a bit' different from the book, but of course I am very excited for the battle scene.

The great final battle?
Yes For me it is a new experience, even if the battle in the film will be a little different from the book.

How did you train to fight?
For the first two weeks I spent in Oregon are subject to training, there was no shooting. Great baseball, because there is a scene of baseball. Then work with mounts, and a lot of work on the movements of the typical vampires. And then a couple of dance lessons and deportment.

Ah yes, the famous ballpark. There you talking about?
The scene of the game is also in the book, and is a pivotal moment in history. Bella realizes that having to do with vampires is dangerous, but fun is superhuman, and then that's when we meet for the first time the evil vampires.

You had to learn to play baseball?
Yes I had never practiced this sport, so it took a long training. I do the pitcher, and then imagine the difficulty for those who have never touched a ball in his life! At first it was scary. We did not know if there would be no need of a stunt, but then decided instead that I do everything myself, and in fact today we're shooting this scene. E 'on the third day that we dedicate to the game of baseball.

Can you catch just a prank, or end up all the balls off the field?
They told me: "It does not matter if the target is wrong," but I surprised myself recently: I'm aiming right and I hit the camera a couple of times!

The cameramen hate you, I bet. The
I know! They are more interested in speed to the target. In the books

cars have an important role. What machines have you seen so far?
Bella's truck is awesome. I saw all the Cullen cars, they are beautiful, but I have not seen mine. Dr Cullen is one of the most beautiful, a Mercedes and I are very envious Jackson Rathbone.

How much do you keep true to the character of Alice in the book? How tall are you?
Eh, this is the most common complaint I hear about me: I am a little 'less than one meter and seventy. They are much more Alice's high, but still, how many people is high and a fifty?

This business is dying laughing.
Yeah. We are doing our best not to point too much height, placing the cameras in the right way.

And your hair? Some of them are too long.
are pretty short. Not super-short, but short. E 'out a picture of the whole cast, and in that photo my hair is rather short, but now they are even shorter.

recently on the set has infiltrated a group of women who call themselves the Twilight Moms. " What do you think that adult women invade the set to take pictures?
's crazy! I mean, it's beautiful, because we all thought: "We have a young audience, and some fans wild." But then we discovered that there were also mothers, working women who have children and who love history as much as the girls!

What features of Alice excite you more?
Be ', Alice sees the future, not bad right? We would all like to have superpowers, right? I also like the fact that it is a good character: it may be evil, menacing, dark, but not it is not. It 'a great trait to have, and I want to be as optimistic in life.

Alice is also proud to be a vampire.
Yes Alice does not remember his past, I think she was confined in a mental hospital, because they did so in the twenties to the people who were not normal. It just comes out of the asylum in a family that adores her. Everything is beautiful, Alice has everything you could want, including his soul mate, Jasper.

must be strange to create a love story that spans decades between two actors who twenty years.
Yes, our characters have been together forever. The best thing about the relationship between Jasper and Alice is that it has a strong psychological, mental, very deep. Jackson and I will not be able to create a connection so in three months, but our characters do not even need to talk, you know perfectly well, and are very protective of each other. The only time they look at their relationship is at a very dramatic film, when I have a vision and he's worried about me.

As will be realized your views?
When I work I try to represent the events through the eyes and facial expressions.

How does an actor pretend to have visions?
Well, 'I have to create me a situation in mind, a real situation. There are a couple of scenes where I have visions, and we filmed in two different ways, so I'm not sure which of the two ways shown in the film. However, my views are not particularly spectacular.

As you know, here at MTV we're all fans of Twilight, and many fans are talking about you. I can turn around some of their questions?
course.

Kaggy wrote on our blog: "Alice and Emmett are the players the best and most suitable for the role."
Wow, it's beautiful! I like this comment. But it's funny, I'm honored that people think so, and I'm beautiful all the cast, and each has its own opinions about each actor. I'm pretty happy with the comments I've read about me. No one has explicitly said: "I hate you" or "It 's horrible." The main problem seems to be hair.

Be ', in fact there is Alanna, who writes: "Alice's hair is not short enough, and the clothes are not smart enough."
The question of hair will be the main problem. We have shortened a bit more ', but the hairstyle should also feel good on me, and this is the difficult thing.

And what about Alice's clothes? In the promotional pictures wearing jeans and a winter duvet blacks.
My wardrobe is the largest of all. They gave me lots of clothes. I did a lot of costume tests, to find a fairy-tale style, modern but with some element twenties. It 'hard to put together a wardrobe.

Many people write on our site that Rachael Leigh Cook should play Alice. Why do you think?
Be 'when I read the book I thought, too, and the rest of Stephenie Meyer wrote on her website that this is the idea that Alice has in mind, so it is natural that we in Head all. But I play a girl of seventeen, and I think Rachael should understand by now a grown woman. It 's beautiful, but if there are sequels I interpret this character so young for years to come.

Dee writes: "Ashley Greene looks Alice suitable for, but does not seem to have that charisma that I imagined." What do you mean?
That I can not really see into the future? [Laughs.] I do not know. I hope the screen will change their minds who think that way. From the photos you can not see our abilities, what we do. Dig very deeply and find that charisma.
